How We Got On

Celebrate the power of hip-hop and self-expression at 糖心传媒 with '' by , directed by Natalie Sowell, presented by the Department of Theatre and Performance. This coming-of-age story set in the late 1980s follows three Black teens in the suburbs as they navigate friendship, identity, and creativity while crafting the ultimate mixtape with guidance from DJ and selector-narrators.

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 16, in the Baldwin Burroughs Theatre at the Latanya Richardson Jackson and Samuel L. Jackson Performing Arts Center, Rockefeller Arts Building. This production contains occasional strong language and explores themes of adolescence, family, and identity, and is recommended for audiences ages 13 and up.
