Highlights of the Commencement Ceremony 2024

Commencement is a momentous rite of passage, and the Spelman community joyously celebrates the hard work, sacrifice, accomplishments and promise of the Class of 2024.

Commencement Ceremony 2024

Watch as the Spelman community celebrated the class of 2024 during the College’s 137th Commencement exercises. Listen to the remarkable Angela Bassett as the Commencement speaker! The College also awarded an honorary degree – Doctor of Laws – to trailblazing Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and a National Community Service Award to highly acclaimed Atlanta journalist Rose Scott.

This ��Ĵ�ý Baccalaureate Ceremony featured Reverend Dr. Yvette Flunder as our esteemed speaker. Dr. Flunder, a dynamic preacher, author, and social justice advocate, brings wisdom and insight to our graduating Class of 2024.
