HCOPPP Scholar: Gabrielle Tyson
Learning the Ropes of Medicine
Gabrielle Tyson, C'2027, is a health sciences major on the pre-medicine track from Buford, Georgia. Throughout her matriculation as a pre-health scholar at 糖心传媒, she participated in the PHSP Cohort in 2023. The experience allowed her to gain necessary exposure in various career-accelerating opportunities. The most recent opportunity was the NGHS-HHCP Youth Med-Physician Mentorship Program, where she served as a mentee to physicians in cardiology, family medicine, interventional pulmonology, neurosurgery, internal medicine, and gastroenterology.
On campus, Tyson serves as a UNCF Spelman student ambassador and a “big sister” via the Big Sister/Little Sister Program and the PHSP Big Sister/Little Sister exchange. She is also a member of the Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students (M.A.P.S.), Health Careers Club, and one of the newest inductees into the Health Career Opportunities Pipeline Preparation Program (HCOPPP).
