At Spelman, we seek to provide our residents with the tools needed for a successful home away from home experience. 


Maintenance Problems

Examples of maintenance problems and response times are below.

CRITICAL/EMERGENCY (Immediate):

  • Fire
  • Heat
  • Power or Electrical Loss
  • Water Loss
  • Continuously Running Water
  • Flooding
  • Doors Won't Lock/Close
  • Clogged Floor Drains, Sinks, Toilets
  • Window Breakage
  • Natural Disasters
  • Lock/Key Problems
  • Broken Glass
  • Malfunctioning Fire Alarms/Security Equipment

URGENT (1-24 Hours):

  • Light Fixture
  • Beeping Smoke Detectors
  • Tripped Electrical Breakers

ROUTINE (1-5 Days):

  • Broken Furniture Light Bulb Replacement
  • Extermination
